Nachdem in diesem Jahr alles anders kommt, als geplant, mussten auch die Jungs von ASPHYX bei der Produktion ihres ersten Videos “BOTOX IMPLOSION” vom neuen Album “NECROCEROS” ein wenig improvisieren. Turock sei dank hatten die Jungs sogar ein wenig Spaß beim dreh. Keine Sorge, keiner Lacht und wir sind froh, dass Husky nicht die Fluppe aus dem Mundwinkel gefallen ist und keiner vom Set fliehen konnte. Aber seht selbst:
Die Solide Death-Nummer macht uns jedenfalls Lust auf das kommenden Album. Fronter Martin formuliert das so: “ We actually wanted to film this on Sunset Boulevard LA, where most of the pathetic subjects of this song have their residence, but due to the pandemic it was best not to fly over to the USA. So since it’s a fast shredding and written in the typical humorous death metal gore tradition track, we put a few laughable elements in it. Fortunately good old Turock in Essen was so friendly to let us film there and where we’re usually not that keen on shooting videos, with this one we had quite some fun. Still, it is a helluva brutal tune!” Damit ist dann wohl der Viehofer Platz in Essen der neue Sunset Boulevard.
Die neue Scheibe “NECROCEROS” erscheint am 22. Januar als Standard Jewelcase CD, Digital Album, 180g LP, Limited Mediabook CD+DVD und als Strictly limited Deluxe Gatefold 2LP+DVD. Letzte Variante kommt mit 40 Seiten Booklet und der Bonus DVD “30 Years of Death Doom Domination”.
